Weather foggy & cloudy until
afternoon when it cleared off.
I rode to Ashton with F. Downey
& walked back. Afternoon Willie
& Fanny & baby came to spend
the night with us. Henry C.
Hallowell's remains were laid
to rest in the Friend's burying
ground at the meeting house.
After supper Edwd went on
bicycle to "Riverside", expecting
to go with Walter to a danciing
party (on a small scale) at "Brinklow"
(Nicholl's). I went to the
store & P.O. morning & afternoon
and again after supper.

73 (degrees) Clear & Cloudy. Variable

Quite warm or hot again.
Willie, Fanny & baby went back
to "Fairfield". Edwd & I went to
meeting. Benj Hallowell Jr
said a few words. Afternoon
there was a "memorial meeting
at the meeting house in
memory of the late Harry C.
Hallowell. A thunder gust
came up about the time set
for the meeting, which kept
many persons from attending.
Edwd went over. The storm
most of it passed south of
us giving us only a shower.
Towards evening I went up
to Henderson's for the papers.
After supper Mary E. Gilpin
called here.
