Willie was here this morning
for a short time.

was here for advice etc. this
afternoon. After supper
I went to Fairall's office.
Still another failure in
the yacht race for want
of wind. Albert King sent
us a cord of oak wood
dividing into two loads.
60 [degrees] Rain E. & S.E.
Ther. SUN. OCT 8th, 1899. Wind.
Commenced raining after
midnight last, & continued
at intervals ever since.
I was about home all day.
After supper I went to the
toll house & Fairall's office.
