January 21, 1901.
Dr. M. D. Taylor, Hiseville, Ky., says:
"The bottle of Gude's Pepto-Mangan you sent me I
gave to a patient and had her continue the treatment
for a month. She had been suffering several months
with neuralgia and general neurasthenia, with poor appetite.
Her improvement has been very gratifying. She
now eats and sleeps well. Has gained in flesh and her
general condition has improved 100 per cent. I shall
continue to prescribe it."
==============================================
Quite warm early this morning, but the
wind commenced blowing a nice breeze
which made it pleasant. Willie & Fanny
went back to "Fairfield" after breakfast.
Williw cut my hair. I went to meeting.
Dr Stabler talked to us.

Dr. W.E. Thomas, Brooklyn, N. Y., says:
"I am daily prescribing Gude's Pepto-Mangan in all
cases where iron is indicated. It is without a peradventure
the acme of the iron preparations in its efficiency."
================================================
Old Nick Long came to work in the
garden before breakfast. Jas Scott brought
us a bushel of "Blush" seed potatoes, for
which he paid (in Washington) 75 cents
or at the rate of 1.50 pr bushel. Scott
only charged me 15 cents for bringing them
from Washington. I walked to Ashton & back
before lunch time. It commenced raining
gently soon after dinner. Nicholas
was obliged to quit work after working
half a day. I paid him $1.20, which is all
we owe him except for the half day today.
After supper I went to the village.
Edwd went to Sherwood School house to
tune the piano and Dora & Hannah Archer
went with him. It seemed to clear off
about sunset but the wind is still East
and it has clouded over again as if for
more rain.
