We met at the house of Wm Lea Jr by special invitation. Several were absent but their places were filled by an unusual number of guests, Rev Mr Richardson, W P Miller Dr F Thomas John Thomas
W M Stabler E. Gilpin Walter Brooke & John Nl Bentley.

Thomas J Lea was appointed foreman After reading the
minutes of last meeting here we walked over the farm to view
the improvements. Noted a wood shed nearly finished, wagon
house with potatoe cellar under complete, and ice house
walled up with some ice in it. The corn house contained apout
150 bbls of corn with some wheat. The growing wheat looked well
for the season. We found considerable plowing done for spring,
and returning saw some fine hogs for next fall. Estimates
were made from 250 to 300 lbs at killing time. Our host has
a nice looking tenant house near the road.
After reading the minutes of last meeting a communication
from the Union Bridge Agricultural Society was read in relation
to making an effort to get a good road law passed by the
Legislature. It was adopted as the sense of the meeting
that the commissioners of the county should have the power to
subscribe for or issue bonds to 2/5 of the
