8th Mo 1st 1874
The Enterprise Club met at the house of
Philip T. Stabler. Asa M. Stabler was appointed
foreman. Roger B. Farquhar, Joseph T.
Moore, Wm S. Bond, & [Benj?] H. Miller were
absent. We had Alvin Stabler, Charles F. Kirk
[Benj?] D. Balmer and several other gentlemen as
guests, The minutes of the last meeting here
were read, after which we donned our hats for
our usual walk. but owing to the unusually
late hour at which we assembled the supper
bell assisted us in the yard; after tea we made
another attempt. but it was too late to inspect
the premises. After reading the minutes of the
last meeting the following questions were asked.

1st
What will you do next year about planting
potatoes? 2 will plant their usual crop.
3 will plant none, and 7 a few.

2d
Would you sell wheat now or hold it for
a higher price? 7 would sell, + 7 would hold it.

3d
Would you sell oats now?
Majority advise to sell now.

4th
How much wheat is the Club going to sow?
The members present gave in 357 acres, or an
average of 28 1/6 acres.

5th

Shall I sow amber or Fults Wheat?
Recommended to try the Fults.
