5th What to do with Peach orchard now in corn?
Harrow in the Fall and sow clover in the
spring in stripes, leaving room to cultivate
the trees.

P. T. Stabler reports seeing 74 Colorado beetles
on one small Potatoe stem.

On this occasion as is usual, the members seemed to
enjoy each other's society very much, and their conversation
between business was earnest and at times
exciting and above the hum of voices the names of
[Telton?] Beicher +[?] could frequently be distinguished.
Then adjourned to meet at E. P. Thomas
who was Sec. Protem.

9th Mo 19th 1874

The Enterprise Club met at Belmont
At 4 1/2 o'clock Robt. M. Stabler was appointed foreman
and in the absence of the Sec. Arthur Stabler was appointed
for the evening. We had for guests 3 members of the
Montgomery Club while 3 of our own members failed
to put in an appearance. The minutes of the last meeting
here were read, and discussed at length while eating
some elegant peaches by our host.
After visiting the barn and garden we passed on
to the new Dairy which all seemed anxious to see. The
whole arrangement was pronounced very complete, the
objectionable feature being its distance from the dwelling
Our host informed us that he was milking eight
cows and making at this time about 40 lbs of butter
per week. Near the Dairy was a pen containing 4
fine Berkshire shoats that were fed principally on
the skimed milk. We next passed through a
