of butter, which like many other calculations was very
pretty on paper, but not sound in fact. Supper was
disposed of and questions asked as follows
1st Is it too late to cut chestnut timbers for
rails where suckers are wanted? No.
2d Cows furnished, and feed provided, what
share of butter should be given for feeding,
milking and making the butter?
Four say 1/5 - eight say 1/4 - four say 1/3
and some scattering.
3d How many potatoes will it be advisable to
plant this year, and how many were planted
by those present last year. This year 51 3/4
acres last 70 3/4.
4th When is the right time to sow mangel wurzel
and ruta-bagas? The mangels as soon as
convenient, the ruta-bagas later.
5th Shall I sow plaster now or wait until it
rains it being very dry now. Sow any time.
The proceedings were here broken off very
unceremoniously by some who wanted to attend a meeting
at the Lyceum, in the opinion of your Secretary it is

Adjourned to B. H. Millers one week after
the regular time, May 22, 1875.
