was read, & the foreman appointed Arthur Stabler & Benj H Miller
as our committee.

The Enterprise Club met at Asa M. Stabler's,
and we were welcomed in a new and comfortable house, not
quite finished, but sufficiently so, to be very cheery and pleasant
with an immense fire in the sitting room. It is
encouraging to see that farming can be made to pay when attended.
with industry good management and perseverance.
There are a number of conveniences, such as a tank for applying
water to chamber; bathroom &c and provision for
furnance in cellar, that will pay a large interest on their cost
and might profitably be adopted by others. After partaking
of some beautiful apples and delicious cider, we organized
by appointing Thos. J. Lea, Foreman with 12 members present,
the absent ones being Benj. H. Miller, Wm. S. Brooke
and Samuel Hopkins. Several of the neighbors were with us.
After reading the minutes of the last meeting held there we
proceeded to inspect so much of the premise as lay between
