The 60th Anniversary meeting of the Enterprise Club, which was the 726th meeting, met on Jan 23rd 1926 with B.H. Miller, at Mt. Airy. The organization meeting of our Club was also held at Mt. Airy in Dec. 1865 and its 50th anniversary meeting in 1915.

Three charter members, B.H. Miller and Asa M Stabler, Roger B Farquhar, were present; the fourth living charter member, T.J. Lea now living in Pa, was unable to attend. The absent members were Char Bond, Albert Stabler, Geo Wilson and Dr Christian.

The guests included R.B. Farquhar, A.G. Thomas, Robert Miller, R.B. Thomas J.W. Jones, Harris Fussel, and Thos Hyde.

Shortly after six o'clock we were invited out of the dinning rooms when a delicious Sunday dinner was served; after which the meeting was called to order by C.L. Gilpin.

all read, and were very interesting.

The minutes of the Dec. meeting were read and approved.

The Farmers' convention conv was continued.

Wheat $1.87 bu Potatoes $250 to 260 bu

Corn 400 bbl Apples 150 to 200

Hay $27 to 28 T Hogs 13¢ lb

Questions

B. H. Miller asked what to charge his man for feeding his horse - 5 00 per mo. He was advised by a vote of 10 to hold his wheat for higher price. He read an article telling of the good that was coming out of the 18th amendment

Asa M. Stabler told of some Club experience during the past 60 yrs.

Bentley Thomas question as to the charge for bbl for corn delivered in the neighborhood, was unanswered.

Frank Wilson was told that overfeeding, especially of corn, would cover the trouble he was having with his yews. His yews seemed to be paralized in the hips.

A. G. Thomas asked the price of baled wheat straw, F.O.B, the farm $10 to $12 per T.

Lamar Jackson wants some good eating apples; Granville Thompson can supply them.

Milton Bancroft has a field that has been in grass for 3 yrs and asked what to do with it. Get someone to put the field in corn, and follow with rye & grass, or disc and sow blue grass or plow in June and sow timothy, clover & blue grass. He also asked what to charge for pasture & fodder for a colt - 4.00 per [?].

Norris Fussel was told that the failure in speculation in potatoes in the "midle west" would not materially azffect our market. Maurice Stabler asked to what weight should be fed hogs at the present price of corn, 175 to 200 lbs.

S.P. Thomas asked for suggestions for subjects for the Farmers Convention meeting. Farm Taxes & Hogs were given.

Rebecca Miller asked what was the best fence to use for the vegetable garden. 58" woven wire, with metal posts & barbed wire at top. Some would use locust posts especially at the corners.

Rust Canby was told that if he used pipes to brace the corners of a chicken yard fence it would prevent the chickens from walking up & over the fence, as is they do when wooden braces are used.
