Longwood.

On the 31st of May we met at Longwood.
All the families were represented with
one exception, that from White Hall. The
family were in Virginia and one member
hastened home for the purpose of attending
the meeing to find he was a day too late
owing to our having made a change in the
time of meeting. Our guests were Richard
and Edith Bentley, Frederic Moore James
and Margaret Hallowell Caroline H. Miller
Edward and Anna Gilpin Samuel F.
Janney
and daughter Hadassah
J. Moore
and Mrs. Markland.

The specimens were, from Brooke Grove
a dish of Geraniums and some large
onions pronounced by some to be too
large; from Springdale a dish of clematis
some peas, beets and cabbage; Avalon a bouquet
of gorgeous popplies a beautiful
cactus blossom and some apples. Sharon
two bouquets, Riverside one bouquet
Rockland peas. Rock Spring Radishes
peas beets potatoes salsify carrots corn
snap beans and from Lizzie Waters
a beautiful pyramid of flowers.

Questions

How should young turkeys be fed? Several
methods were mentioned. One member
fed them for two days on hard boiled
