EDGEWOOD.

Aug 3rd 1875

Our Society met at Edgewood. The
guests present were Friend Hannah Taylor
Carry Taylor, Corry Gover, Mary H. and
Rebecca Miller, Hallie Kirk, Frederic
Patty and Albina Stabler. The absent
members were those from Rock Spring, Longwood
and White Hall.

The Specimens were two dishes of
roses, egg-plant, pepper and Lima-beans
from Hermon. Lima beans from Rockland
and handsome Japan lily, Lillium Aura
-tum, from Springdale, Lima beans from
Olney, a dish and a bouquet of flow
-ers from Avalon; fine tomatoes and flow
-ers from Brooke Grove; flowers from Sharon
fine onions from seed and fern sets
brought by Frederic Stabler. Our host
had a fine collection of vegetables to add
to the interest of the display. Huge cucumbers,
potatoes, white & sweet, tomatoes
cymlins beets, cabbage & corn.

Our President read a letter he had
received from C. C. Saffel of Baltimore
and a catalogue of books he has for
sale at a much reduced price, as the
were second-hand tho nearly equal
to new. It contained many valuable
books.
