From Straw-berry beds; to the cherry
trees high above our heads, - and her
flowers,
were the admiration of all.
All this, was accomplished mainly with
her own hands, and through her skill.
Without servere suffering, she quietly died
on the 25^th May.

Mary B. Hall, after a lingering illness,
died on the 19^th Oct. She was a very
valuable member, and her vigorous mind
and excellent judgement, made her an
authority, on all subjects we had before us
for consideration. The beauties of Nature
never escaped her eye; in a ride, or walk ,
she would point out, and enjoy, what the
careless, would never see; - her good management
and industry, left an impress
around her home, where, we will ever
miss her presence.

The Exhibition was on the 9^th Sept.

Mar. 29, - met at Rock Spring, when
seven families braved the cold and wind;
the mercury stood, all day , at 26^o
Flowers taken for specimens - frozen on the
way. Our Number is lessened again, by
death. William H. Farquhar closed his useful
life Feb. 17^th. He seldom missed coming to
our meetings, and never missed the warmest
welcome. We were, some of us, his near
relative, some, devoted pupils, - all
