Noon Temp 42°

Alloway Oct. 3rd 1893

In the opening remarks our President
spoke with feeling of our loss by death
of our member from Longwood E. J. Hall
and gave a fine tribute to his qualities as
a member of our society and of his faithfullness
in the performance of his dutues in
the various offices he had.

Longwood, Falling Green, Riverton and
Stanmore were absent. Our guests were
Sarah E. Stabler, Elizabeth Stabler, Mrs Morris
Albina Stabler, Mrs. Harry Gilpin and Corry Gover.
The poultry report was ordinary, not remarkable
for success or failure, with the
exception of the turkies at Alloway from
eggs from Kentucky. They were very fine,
as were Mary E. Gilpin's from eggs from
Virginia.

1st Reader Mary E. Gilpin read of the
treatment for Callas. Pot in very rich
earth, water with hot water, not on the
plant - but around it

2nd reader H. H. Miller absent
Reports of corn on Forethrought
as admirable in all particulars
