Some members were troubled with
a blight which killed the leaves of
grape vins. The tent caterpillar
have been very troublesome this
summer. Spraying does little good
as the tent protects them. There was
a general complaint- of the scarcity
of tomatoes.
Our walk was satisfactory. The
beautiful lawn down to the river
was admired. In the garden were
a promising patch of sweet corn
and another of sweet- potatoes
and evidences of earlier vegetables.
The grapevines showed the blight
