the Spring including laterals and are
not doing well. Why? The season is
partly accountable but that style of
trimming is not good as the vines
make to compact and shady leafage.

4 Does any one know where quinces can
be bought? Mr. Downey has a few, also
Mr Colliflower of Unity. It was stated
by one of the fruit growers that quince
trees are injured by pruning as the
growth comes on the end of the limbs.

5 Do bags retard the ripening of grapes?
Yes, a little.

6 What can we do with apples that are
falling so fast and are not a salable
color? Feed hogs.
