is in the spring but it can be done in the fall

Our walk thro' the gardens was
very interesting. They were so clean
and the plants so rigorous; the cabbage was
especially fine. The strawberry beds
showed evidences of having yeilded well
blackberries looked strong and healthy
and promise a good supply of berries

In the flower garden roses were
beautiful and the nasturtiums beds will
soon be a glowing mass of color.

The absence of the potato beetle has
been remarked. No so the striped bug
which has been a ravenous pest at
some places
