This being the year of electing officers,
a motion was made that Frank
Hallowell
cast the vote for the Society,
the result was the reelection of our present
officers. Our President told of a
man who had been President for a society.
It met while he was travelling and
he came home to find another in his
place. Our President proposes travel to when
our next election is due.

1st Reader, Frances Stabler, read of
an Island that had been settled by a
German years ago and from being nearly
a barren place, by his and his childrens
industry and enterprise is now a flourishing
and beautiful spot and well inhabited.
2nd Reader Eliza Moore absent.

Forethought
During this month almost all the vegetable
seeds should be planted; clearing
up, raking, fencing, and beautifying
should be done. The roses have been
killed to the ground at many places.
Not much can be done in the flwoer
garden but raking off the beds and
trimming the rose bushes. A few of the
Narcissus family are blooming and the
report of Forethought concluded with
"The Coming of the Violet" in verse.
