so interesting as June. Weeds are at the
height of their perfection and unless
we hand been able to take time by the Forelock,
we have our hands full, keeping
"order in camp." It is the season
for planting as succession of many
things, lettuce radishes, beans etc.
Plant cucumbers July 1st plant corn now
and a big planting of the early kinds
the 15th of the month. When egg plants
come into bloom give them a heavy mulch
and spray with arsenate of lead. Keeps
peppers well worked. Keep roses worked
and attend to the pot plants. Roses will
need some cutting back and feeling
of the slugs have been bad.
