Tulip bulbs from year to year. Be careful
how you take them up in the Spring,
and be sure they are ready. The folidge [foliage]
must die down and the bulbs must be
beginning to brown over. Then the place
in which they are stored must be dry
and mouse + rat proof.

Cousin Lillie Stabler our other reader,
told us of a most marvelous new flower
which has been developed by Bryson
Ayres
. The very impressive name of this
flower is "Celosia Brysonia Chrysantheflora
They grow in height from 2 to 6 feet and
the blossoms are sometimes 18 inches
in width. The have an immense
ornimental [ornamental] value, as they are everlasting,
retaining their color and shapes
where properly dried; And they come in
in any desired color. We are glad
to know that Cousin Mary Stabler has
planted some and, and we shall look
forward to seeing them.

Cousin Lillie also read one of James
J Montagues
' poems "In almost any
garden", which was as he calls it
"more truth than poetry"
