H/5/1933-1-

Edgewood June 6 1933
The Horticultural Group assembled
at Norwood May 2
for their monthly meeting.
A good number of members,
and some guests were present
when the meeting was called to
order by the President Henry J. Nichols.
The minutes were approved as read.
The first appointed reader, Mary
W. Stabler
had clippings from
several well known papers giving
advice and suggestions.
One writer offered a positive control
and cure of poison ivy by the
pre use of Calsium Chlorate.
Your Sec. would like to see this
tried out and I ask some member
of this society to give the test and
report result. Another is when to transplant
evergreens. Advised to do so
early in the spring. Also an urge
for gardeners to keep a compost so
helpful to plant culture.
