Jessie McReynolds described what
was evidently the asparagus battle. Advised
to cut off all stalks with them
on & brown.
No one could tell Robert H. Miller
whether it was too late to set out
blackberries nor did they know about
the Boysenberry or where they could be
gotten around here.
Early spring is the best time to
sit out rhubarb plants, but might be
done now with [?] if great
pains were taken with them.
Wood ashes are good for iris to be
put around in winter & can be
sprinkled on delphinium plants after
being sifted.
Milton Bancroft had found a
spongy fungus growth in the center
of maple trees which were cut down
because dying & for some reason
the N.W. sides were effected first.
Fannie N. Osborn wanted a carpenter
to make some window boxes
for her & it was suggested she
might get them made by the
manual Training Class at Sherwood
High School.
