Mary Magruder reported on her
trash barrels for Sandy Spring
village. Lofton Wesley furnished
them and delivered them abd
local boys painted them, a large
TRASH on each one.

Mary notices real improvement
in village neatness. Boy
Scouts might help in picking
up papers and other trash.
Lofton Wesley was told that
gladiolas bulbs should be taken
up after they are quite dry &
put in paper bags with [?]
flakes. Glad. bulbs can be bought
for very little & it hardly pays to
keep themin the winter.
Marianna Miller reported on the sign
opposite the Highlands. The sign
has been removed but not the frame.
Wm. J. Thomas might inquire into it.
Ann Miller asked what to do with
an old iris bed. Chop the middle
out and fill up the hole with good
earth.
