August, 1962 The Cottage

Horticultural met with Mary Moore Miller at
the Cottage August 7, 1962. Before the meeting
there was time to explore the lovely garden,
which nestles at the rear of the house, proving
a delightfully secluded
feeling. As usual there was an abundance
of food, and members enjoyed eating it
on the proch and at tables in the yard.

After approval of preceding minutes,
and reading of exhibits testifying to
our gardening ability. Chicken Kricker
discussed the elm disease control program
of Greenwich Ct. stressing the desirability of
controlling the disease by spraying and
fertilizing is good policy. She also
described one of the parks in Greenwich.

Claire Hutton who had spent her
vacation in The Southwest New Mexico
& the S. W. showed slides and
gave a delightful commentary
on the country.

Douglas presented the
following report.
