at the May meeting.

was absent we dispensed with the
usual helpful report, but Elizabeth
Ligon gave us many helpful

read excerpts from " The Living Garden" - an
Enviromental Calendar published by
Concern Inc and Audubon Naturalists
Society of the Central Atlantic States,

the gardener grow almost perfect
plants, is the result of the conviction
that the purpose in gardening is to
create, not to destroy". It is indeed
quite a complete handbook for the
gardener - dealing with such topics, as
pesticides, useful plants that affect pests,
control of moles, mice, grubs, caterpillars,
tiny - sucking pests, fungi, blights,
mildew, rusts, etc. -- care of the
lawn, compost pile, and garden tools
and equipment, etc.
