Tuesday, August 1st, 1972

The Horticultural Society met with
Mary B and Claire Hutton on Tuesday, August 1st.
It was the first really sunny summer
day for a meeting this year and we were
happy to be able to get outdoors and walk
around the premises. We were able to overlook
the prolific crop of crabgrass and enjoy the
roses and a colorful border of summer
annuals with a background of hemlocks
and other evergreens.

What a delightful supper this time!
They are always good but it seems that
there were many delicious gourmet dishes
this time with the accent on fancy desserts.

We were sorry that one of our hostesses
"B" - was absent - as she was off on a
holiday in Nova Scotia, and we also missed
Buzzy Hussman, the Canbys, Mannings,
and Weskes. But we were very happy to
welcome our new member, Betty Hartge
and hope that Bill will be here for the next
meeting.
