HIgh temperature fo July - 88 on several
days with a low of 54 on July 6th -
Total rainfall of 6.9 inches on 9 different
days, ( Copy report attached )

Several reported that " water is higher " this year:
Harry said " 4x as much water flowing
in the Potomac as usual for this time of year " -
Bob Miller said "Water in a Colesville
well was reported 5 ft. higher than usual"

Alan Thomas read the list of exhibits,
and we were agreed that there was indeed
a bountiful display of both flowers and
vegetables. ( Full list attached )

Birds -
Many had seen the humming birds - but
Betty Ligon is the only one who has heard
a whip - poor -will - Sylvia is perplexed
because they have a Carolina Wren building
in the window box and she wants to water
the window box. Do they have " see - through
umbrellas" for birds?

No committee reports and no new
business - but it was suggested that
the secretary add the following note to
the By-laws :
