at " The Cottage ".

Mary Moore Miller was the hostess
at the last meeting of the 1972 season.
It was a beautiful autumn evening and
we enjoyed viewing the result of Mary
Moore's green thumb and also the display
of autumn flowers and vegetables brought
by various members of the Society.

Ater an unusually delicious supper
the President called the meeting to order.
He welcomed our guests : Iris Beall and
Connie Ligon Mills. We regretted the absence
of a number of members, namely -
the Woodwards, the Francis Thomases, the Douglas
Farquhars, the William Canbys, the Walter Wilsons,
and John Weske.

The secretary read the minutes of
the previous meeting which were duly
accepted. Then the President appointed
Elizabeth Ligon and Robert Miller to serve
as a Nominating Committee to be responsible
for presenting a slate of new officers at
the April, 1973 meeting.
