Robert Miller reported on Exhibits including
a huge water-melon and lovely Lycorus
rubrum from "Great Ease."

Harry Goff was named chairman of
membership Committee to serve with Mary Reading
and Betty Hartge.

The secretary read a letter of resignation
from Walter and Bea Wilson which was
received with deep regret.

Sylvia's night blooming cereus has only
1 bloom. Betty has 10 flowers on hers.

Betty Hartge identified a strange bug
that eats Japanese bettles as the
"cog-wheel bug."

Mrs. Mannakee thinks there should be
a plant that is enemy to poison Ivy.

Flora reports that grape clusters are
not good, and Betty Ligons [Ismus?] lily
isn't blooming. Why? no help.

Mary Moore's lawn grass isn't the best,
but there's lovely new grass under the trees.

Mrs. Mannakee has a viburnum
raised from a cutting from [Dr.?] Busslee's
tree.

Before adjourning to Nancy and Bill Canby's
on Oct. 9th a week late, Harry Goff praised
Alan and Dale for their care of their place.
