Committee reports, None; and New Business, None.
Questions and Answers.--
One question was whether any use could be made of
okra pods that have grown large and long. Answer-- cut
and dry them for use in soups.
Allen commented on the tremenbuous gardens they have
in the eastern area of the State of Washington (along the
Columbia River). Temperature was in the 90's there.
Sylvia asked for advice on the handling of a poinsetta.
Cut it back and put it outside---also keep it in the dark
for a while.
Beth Bullard said they have a white fly in their
garden and asked what to do with it. There was no answer.
Some one asked if Jessie had found the name of the
pink, long-legged bird she saw near the Hawlings River.
Answer--No, and she has not seen it since.
Adjournment.-- The Horticultural thereupon adjourned
to meet at Springdale in October.
Respectfully submitted,
