A special meeting of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Sandy
Spring Volunteer Fire Dept. was held Nov. 7, 1951 at the Inn
known as Getz's which had been selected for our dinner.
We dispensed with the reading of the minutes and
the treasurer's report.

Our first report was from the House Committee. They
have purchased and placed new indirect - lighting
bulbs in the fixtures of the CLub Room. Several prices
had been obtained on the portable gas stoves we are
interested in buying and it was moved and seconded
that we buy the %58.22 stove from Roland Stanley.

The question was brought up as to whether
the Auxiliary will serve as the Banquet to both the
firemen and their wives. After much discussion
a motion was made and seconded that they
would not because of the feelings of the Auxiliary wives.

Our Christmas Party will be held Friday, December
21 at 7 P.M. Mrs. J. J. Meyer, Jr. has been appointed Program
Chairman, Mrs. Henry Benson - Publicity and Mrs. Douglas
O'Keefe - Refreshments. It was agreed we have words
to the Christmas Carols printed for the guests. Mrs. Edward
Steeler offered to do this for us.

The report from the nominating committee
revealed the following :-
