Mt Airy - 1st mo 29th 1880

This meeting (our first here) since our hostess became a member was well
attended. Although several of our
members were unavoidably absent,
their places were filled by guests,
who seemed to be entertained by
the exercises - these were begun
about the usual time by R. E.
Gilpin, reading an account of
the dwellings in rocks and caves
of a race, who existed ages since,
and from whom the Pueblo Indians
are supposed to have descended.
Discovered by Hayden's Geological survey.

M. Farquhar's article referred to Hygiene
and Education of Women - and while
making women out (with few exceptions)
as inferior to man in mental
attainments; acknowledged her
tact, quickness of perception,
and endurance in suffering."

E. D. Bentley read a few remarks on
the subject of "Sleep", the amount
required depending mostly on
the habits of the person.

E. G. Thomas gave an account
of a wonderful case, recently
discovered in Adams Co. Ohio."
