M. L Roberts selected from Mrs. Opie good
advice on "Detraction". "Transient troubles

soon we forget them & the cause, Life
is too short to be worn out by petty
vexation". She also read a good little piece
on "Christian Intercourse".

Saide Lea (guest) read "Our Minister's
Sermon, which contained good hints"

M. Farquhar gave an article suggesting the
use of milk instead of soap, in dish
water. An illustration of 'Woman's
Influence" was read by L. G. Thomas

H. J. Moore gave an account of a
golden wedding and said some pretty
lines "Harvest field of time."

M.W. Kirk recited the "Pride of battery
B. and the "Adopted child" both
touching pieces. Sarah Kirk recited "God
is Light". J. Porter, , E.D. Bentley & M. M. M.
had nothing to offer. After a social chat &
tea, we adjourned to "Cedars" on the last
of fifth day in next month at 2 o'clock
