Reports of Committees.

American Home, Helen Hallowell, No Report.

Education, Mary Nichols, No Report.

Social Service Leagues, Mary Tilton was absent, but the March report from the Social Service League was read by Estelle Moore.

A letter from Dr. Bird, President of the Social Service League, was read asking for contributions.

Motion made by Margaret Jones, seconded by Estelle Moore, and carred, that the Treasurer, Mary Tilton, be instructed to send in the $11.50 on hand in the League fund at once - this amount to be credited to next year's pledge.

Gladys Tumbleson has agreed to take charge of the Association's part of the Social Service Pageant.

Legislation. Margaret Jones, no report.

Community Council. Mariana Miller, delegate, reported that our delegate and alternate both attended the meeting at which time William F. Moore was elected instead of Frank J. Downey, the

9. other eight members being those selected by the Association. The Council had organized with G. Rust Canby, President. Josiah W. Jones, Vice-President. Milton Bancroft, Secretary/

Unfinished Business. A note from Mary Scott in answer to one sent by the Secretary extending the love and sympathy of the Association, was read.

County Federation. Delegates to attend the Annual Meeting of Kensington 5-19-1928 were appointed. Mary B. Brooke, Elizabeth T. Stabler, and Helen T. Hallowell. Alternates: - Estelle T. Moore, Helen Moore, and Margaret Bancroft. They were instructed to vote the ticket as presented by the Nominating Committee.

State Federation.

Elizabeth Stabler reported the first day's proceedings and Margaret Jones the second and third days of the Annual Meeting at College Park.

Motion was made by Margaret Jones seconded by Elizabeth Stabler, and carred, that the members think it over and decide at the next meeting whether or not the Association remain a member club of the Maryland Federation of Women's Clubs/

New Business. Communications relating to outside entertainment for meetings were read, but no action taken, the policy and program of this club being of a different nature.

Edith B. Green was selected as the Director to the County Federation.

Mary Brooke asked that the name of Anna Farquhar be placed on the waiting list. This was done by unanimous consent.

Meeting adjourned.

The Mutual Improvement Association met at Windcrest, the home of Sadie Adams on 6-7-1928 Julie Hallowell the past hostess presidedbeing the past hostess The meeting was called to order at half-past three oclock by Marianna Miller who acted as chairman until the regular chairman arrived.

4. The Treasurer's Report showed $24.65 on hand - one more member having paid dues. $11.50 has been paid to the Social Service Leagues having no balance in this fund.
