first lady of China, an invitation
to a Church Service in 1880 was what
led to his conversion.

Mary Brooke's article dealt with some
of the signs which show the habits
of wild life, birds and animals,
and are understood to those who
know how to read these signs.

Elizabeth Grey had selected a fine
poem entitled "Now".

Esther Stabler told of some very interesting
places - notably burying grounds -
in New England where she has
recently been.
