Deb. Willson said as it was the first day of school she would read
some poems from her favorite book of poems for boys and girls.

Dorothy Wetherald read a ridiculous story from The Manchester Guardian.

Ethel Thomas read the lovely, familiar poem, September.

Rebecca Small reported for the membership committe that Anne Ball Gilpin
had accepted our invitation to become a member. She also asked if the name of
Edith B. Thomas should be put back on the waiting list, if she is willing. Of
course we agreed that it should.

Esther Stabler read four Italian proverbs. She also read of the treasure
hunt below Rehobeth Beach. After a So'wester, copper coins minted many years ago,
are washes ashore, and are believe to come from a pirate ship which sank in that
vicinity.

There were no committee reports, but a little over $10,000. was netted at the Hospital Supper.
