27th.
A clear day: out shopping: went in the afternoon to the
Park, with sister, Debbie, Eliza, Sarah, Maggie, Eddie Stabler
and Bennie Miller: the girls all went to the Fair after
supper: Aunt Sally Gilpin, Uncle Edward and Aunt Lydia
came to stay here.

28th.
A pleasant day; tho' cloudy a part of the day, in the
morning we had sermons from Sarah Hunt, George
Freeman and John Hunt; in the afternoon from Sarah
Hunt, William Dorsey, Mary Bradiway, and Phebe
Hadley: I dined at Sisters with Anne Ahrens; to Gardner's
to tea; a great many there.

The Park, the Fair? Is something exciting happening here? Also, are any of the names of the people delivering sermons of historical significance?
