of Wexford Harbour _ and by
the evidence of our vision the
chronometer has given in the
true longitude withing 1/2 a mile
!!!!! _ It may be accidental
or a "phenimony", but it is "a
fact." _ Soundings just completed
find 20 fathoms _ another
tack orderd "About ship"
_ the wind coming fair _ and
dinner "a'most ready" _ and
2, for it _ evening 6 oclock. _
While we were at dinner a line that
we had out at the stern was reported to
have "a fish" on it. It was drawn in
and proved to be a Gurnet _ after
dinner it being calm-ish _ say 1/2 a knot
p Hr several lines were out and
we caught about a dozen which
we have voted for breakfast tomorrow
morning _ They are about a foot long
and shaped between a catfish &
chub with some curious apparatus
about them _ as I have never seen
a fish like them, after they ceased
to bite I skinned one and intend
bring it* home if I can _ It is now
entirely calm and the ship
