6 oclock we left Baldwin with the
cars & about 8 oclock we arived at
Lake City. At Sanderson about midway
between L. City & Baldwin Sam Cook
who had been on a fourlough
joint us. His wife had left Augustine
two weeks after we did & went to Jack-
sonville
to her mother & from there
they left for Sanderson were they are
left for the present. I heard from
my dear wife up to the time she
left, she had been very unwell &
before Mrs. C. left she was better.
Lake City is a very nice place.
At four o clock the train left from
Lake City for Madison where we
arived about dark. There were
some mules on the the train
