to this, may be seen in the following :
In the summer of 1856 I had two arched
stone rooms build on our farm near Jaffa. When
the arch of one room was nearly finished
the largest timber that was put in to
support the arch it till dry, gave way &
percipitated the whole to the ground.
Fortunately none of the men were sevirely
hurt. As soon as thy all had recovered
from the shock, they held a counsel, what
could have been the reason of that misfortune
