27 For Convultion Fitts Take maile Pyanna Roots and misle toe of each one quarter of an ounce the seed of Pyanna and St John's Wort anna Seeds and Fennel Seeds of each a quarter and a halfe of an ounce Powder of Peacock's dung ye weight of 2 s made to fine powder; yn Sears and weigh ym severall and mix and Boyle ym all togeather in a jill of English Honey to an Electuary and take thereof So much as a nutmegg morneing fasting and last att night

An Aproved Sear Cloth Take a pint of Sallett Oyle and halfe a Pound of Red Lead put ym into a Skellett Stir ym with a smooth Stick then sett it on a Quick fire make it Boyle a Pace till it will leave a spoon then being sett a Cooling put into it a ounce of Rosin beaten and an ounce of Bee Wax then Sett it on the fire againe till it leave ye spoon yn take old Linen cloths cut ym into Handsome Peices withour Hem or Ragg hold Each Peicies by one corner and Dip it into your salve till it be all wett then hold it Soe till it coole yt you may stretch it out, yn dip ye End Undiped

26 For The Scurvie Take Scurvy grass and wormwood of each two handfull's one handfull of Fumetory cutt ym very small Juniper Berrys Brused 2 ounces; Licquoras Scraped 2 ounces Anoseed's bruised 2 ounces, putt ym all into A Linen Bagg; And A Stone in the bagg; it being putt into A 3 Gallon vessell of Ale At the Bung hole; And So hang by a String, yt it may swim towards ye Top Hole, So lett it Stand Five Days and lett ye Party Drink thereof 3 times A day It's very convenient for ye Party first to take A Purge With one Drackm of Extractum Rudg mixt with 10 graines of Rozen of Jallop and make it up into 8 Pills take one over night and 2 in ye morning So rest one day or 2 and yn take ye Like quantity Againe until they be all done in wch time the drink will be Ready

To Make Lukatellos Balsome Take of Venous turpentine one pound oyle of Sweet Olife three Pints of Sack Six spoonfuls yallo wax halfe A Pound of naturall Balsome halfe An ounce of Oyle of Sen Johns Wort one ounce ; Rid Sanders one ounce cut ye wax in thin slices Sett it over ye fire in A big Skellett; when it is thoroughly melted putt in ye venous Turpentine having first washed it 3 times in Rose water, Stir this well together till they boyle A little; yn take it of ye Fire and lett it coul untill ye next day; yn take it out of ye skelit againe putt it in thin Slices yt you may get all ye water out of it and when ye water is out putt it over ye fire; and when it is melted Stir it well together and putt in ye Said Sallett Oyle and Sack ye olye of Sen John's Wort ye naturall Balsom and Sander's Stiring all well togeather yt they may incorporate lett it boyle Againe A short Space Stake it of And keep Stiring it for fower houres yt it may be thick when cold put it up into Potts and Cover it close; you may keep it for use 20 yeares

24 A Drink for the Scurvy Recp: Take Rue Feverfue Strawberry Leaves wood bin leaves Cink foile of Each A large handfull, Stamp and bruse ym and putt to ym one quart of Strong bear of Ale lett ym Stand thus an Houre; yn Straine the Licquor out, and to it putt 3 or 4 Spoonfuls of English honey; of burnt Allome as much as a walnutt with half a handfull of Salt bottle it up close and it will keep 7 or 8 Dayes Take of this in ye morning fasting and att 4 a clock in ye After noone Four Spoon full's att A Time walke after it and Eat not nor drink till 2 houres After Lett ye burnt Allome be powdered Small before it's putt into ye Licquor Shake ye bottle well Every time you take of it - Grate Tarmarack long birth wort and bruise Aniseeds of Each 2 Drackm's and putt ym in A clean cloth lett it infuse in ye Above Sade Licquor to ye Rest of ye Ingrediants and att last Sqeeze it out with ye rest

For an Extrordenary Cough Take Raisin's Stoned an ounce and A halfe Sebesten's and Jujubes of each 22 Dates 9 Figgs 12" French Barly one ounce and a halfe Maidens haire hysope Scabius and Colts Foot of each one handfull and 1/2 boyle these in 4 Pints of water to A pint and A halfe, being streaned of and could add thereto Two ounces of ye syrup of Pursline and Six Drackms of the juce of oringes, Take 9 spoonfulls once in Four Houres
