2 A Diett Drink Take ye Roots of horse Radishes 3 oz of Red dock Rootes 4 oz of madder Roots 2 oz of Fenill and Parsley Roots Each 1 oz and A halfe, of Barke of the Roots of capers and of Tamariske of Each 6 Drams; of Sweet Fenill Seeds Aniseed's and Coriander Seed's of Each halfe An oz of the Hearbe Scabious Agrimony and water cresses of Each 1 Handfull of Scurvigrass and Brookelime of Each 2 Handfull's of Senna 3 oz 4 nutmeg's 2 good Lemon's Sliced; Putt all these well cutt into A Bagg with halfe A Pound of Rasin's Sliced and Tunne them up in 2 Gallon's of New Ale, to worke and Refine for 3 Dayes and then Drink every day A gill att once Twice A day, to witt morne and midaftern or once a day as you See cause Take Bole Almenack 4 lb camphire 1 oz witt copriss 4 oz boyle your Copriss and camphire together in A Little Black Pott untill they Become thin Stiring them well together untill they be hard then beat them in A morter and Beat your Bole by it Selfe and mingle them together and Keep your Powder in A Bladder and when you need take 2 Quarts of Runing Water and Sett it on the fire untill it begin's to boyle, then take it off the Fire and Putt 1 ounce of the Powder into the water Stiring it be could, then Putt the water in A glass and lett it Stand untill it be cleare, then take the clearest of the water and wash the sore with it every warme And lay A cloth 3 Dubble on the Soare being first wett in the water bind it fast and Keep warme doe this morning and Eavening

A Purge Take A Purge in Aprill made with Pulvis Sanctus and Pulvis Senna composit of Each 2 Scruples: creame of Tarter 4 Scruples; Syrup of Damask Roses 2 Spoonfulls; Spiritt of Salt 5 Drop's; Salt of Wormwood And Scurvigrass of Each 6 graines mingle all these together and Take it in A draught of warme Possett Ale Fasting To make A very good Lozinge for a Could Take English Liquoris 12lb large and Greene Scrape it from the outward rinde and Cutt it Small then bruise it well in A morter, and Steep it in 4 Gallons of Spring water for the Space of 24 houres then Strane it through A Straner very Strongly, and boyle this Licquor till it be as thick as new honey; then Add to it of Pure Gumme Arabeck and gume traganth of each 2 ounces, but first desolve the gummes in 1 Pint 1/2 of Rose Water and then mix it with the Juce as Above Sayd then boyle them Againe upon A gentle Fire till it be So thick as it will Scarce cleave to your hand's, and then Putt to itt 10 oz of white Sugar Candy made into Small Powder, and of muske and Ambergreese 10 graines Powdred with A Little of the white candy in A Morter Bottome mingle all these together in the Panne and Stirre them well continually over ye Fire till the Juce be soe Stiff that you may Forme them into Flatt cakes and Print them as you Please

1 Dr Butler's Receipt To make Laxative Bear with Scurvy Grass Take Sarcaparilla Sliced in the midst cutt short and brused 3 oz Polipode Root's of the oake bruised 3 oz Scena of Alexandrea and Little Bruised 3 oz Rubarb thinly sliced 1 lb 1/2 Annoseed's and carraway Seeds of Each halph an ounce white Fennell Seeds brused 1 1/2 oz Licoris Scraped and thin Sliced 1 oz mix all these together in A gross Powder then take Scurvy Grass leaves Picked one Pound and A halph Water Crasses Brooke lime and Agrymony of Eather 4 oz beat all together to A green Salve then mix them with the Gross Powder and Tunn them up in Two Gallon's and a halph of new Bear the hearbs and Powder's being Putt in A Boulter Bagg, lett them worke togeather for the Space of one day as they worke Squease the juce out of the Bag in to the Drink 3 or 4 Times letting the Bagg hang in the Drink continualy and when it is 4 Dayes old Drink 3 quarters of A Pint 2 hourse before Dinner and Supper To Helpe Digestion and Expell Winde Take of Aniseeds Sweet Fennell Seeds carua's and pared coriander Seed's of Each 2 Dram's Callamus Aromaticus and Gallingall of Each 1 Dram Licorice, Sinamon and Nutmeg's of Each 1 Dram & A Halph Ginger. and Cloves of Each 4 Scruples beat them all to A gross Powder and Dissolve 12 ounces of Hard Sugar in A Suffitiant quantity of Rose Water boyleing it to A Lozange consistance Powders cast it after the usuall mannor of Losinges
