In August 8th 1938

Pursuant to notices mailed and delivered on July
29th 1938 to all the directors of the Pacific Grove Ass.
ten days previous.

A special meeting of the Board of Directors of the
Corporation was held in the parlor of the Methodist
Episcopal Church, Pacific Grove, California. There were
present directors.

Wm Burchett, Secty & Director.
F.B. De Forest, Director
F. Grantham, Director
O.S. Olmstead Director
Justin P. Follette Director
Absent. F.K. [Baker], [Mr] Draper and J.H.N. Williams.

The meeting was opened by Prayer, by the
Rev Justin P. Follette, who was duly elected to
fill the place of J.H.N. Williams, who has passed
on from this life.

The President stated the reason of calling this
meeting was not only to fill the vacancy caused
by the death of one of our members, but also
to consider certain conditions confronting us
with regards the rules & regulations which have
been in operation for so many years.

Letters were read from G.W. White and [Wm]
Pendleton of the Anti Saloon Organization &etc.
It was moved and carried that the president should
send the full particulars asked for, to G.H. White.

The committee appointed to see Atty Mack
and Wm. Mc Quiliken reported they
were willing to servie on the board if elected
