Libraries at Naples Olivtars.
In the Monastery of Mourit Olivet
are to be seen but few, yet not con-
temptible MSS. tho' Montfacuon has
mentioned, but 8, of which are

1. MS. of Norius Marcellus of [the] 15th Cent.

2. Of Sallust of [the] 15th Cent.

3. Register of King Alphonzo, where are
almost all the Names of the Neapolitan
Nobles, & Citizens in 1450.

St. John de Carbonaria.
This Library of the Augustine Fathers
is not so elegant as that of the olive-
tans, but has much older Books. It has
about 100 Greek, & 100 Latin MSS. which,
in general, are very good.

1. MS of the Gospels of [the] 11th Cent. in
Vellum. In the 1st Chapter of St. Matthew
is "[GREEK]
[GREEK]"
Joachin, as all know is omitted in our
common MSS.

2. MS.of the Homilies of [the] Gospel in
Vellum of a purple Colour, with square
