All of the inhabited landmass
of the world is divided
into four (see note) parts, so it is
useful to make a different division, in which
the part that is to the east is called Great Asia.
It is called Asia because of a queen who used to
be the lady of this region. Her name was Asia. This
part called Asia contains as much territory as
the other two put together.
And for this reason it is called
Great Asia.
It extends from the north
to the south, as this figure
in front of you
plainly shows and teaches.
