is its farthest point. In that country the people are blacker than
black dye or anything else. For it is so hot
in that country that it seems the earth burns with heat.
In Ethiopia there is nothing but desert and earth barren
of fruit. Indeed it is full of serpents, vermin,
and savage beasts. This country has its boundary

in France. Across from Great Asia there are as many
