found some friends that I know & am OK.

I dropped you a letter without stamp the afternoon of the quake & a card day before yesterday. They had no stamps on them but we dont need any. I got a few from a nurse today to mail these with. Dont write I have no address.

The richest men in Frisco that were worth millions Tuesday night are here penniless & not a change of clothes to their back & they are the ones that are suffering the greatest they cant stand the exposure. I am faring pretty well down here on the beach. I am living with the soldiers that is only eating with them but I can stand the hardships for a while yet

Sending you some [postcards?] I saved they were in my grip. Bought them the night before the Earth quake & didn't have stamps to send them with had some addressed. You can see in ink those with cross on front I
