yesterday I had the urge to really get dirty.
So I went into the orchard in drizzling rain
and made successive (?) attempts to get dirty
but it didn’t seem right going at it directly
like that — and I didn’t get very dirty. That’s
the end of this story. I’m very good at
sing song and chess — and have impressed
Beutelsbach to quite an
extent, thankyou.

Well on Mother’s day in
Prague I will think of you and sing happy Birthday
or something. You’re the best Mom, by far, that
I have. I hope you’re tennis & golf are
good (Dad said the LA tourny went good for
you.) and that Leroy & Smeltz & Sahib &
the dead chickens are nice to you. Have
a feast on me (or Dad) and thanks alot
for everything.
