Description

Alfred Lockwood Trowbridge (1880-1957) matriculated at Stanford University in 1901 and received an A. B. in Civil Engineering in 1905. He was elected Vice President of the Associated Students of Stanford University (ASSU) for the 1904-1905 school year and was a pallbearer for Jane Lathrop Stanford. He worked on engineering projects on the west coast and in 1931 was recruited to become University Engineer at Stanford, a position he held until 1942 when he left for a job with the Bakersfield district of the California Water Service Company.
