Description

Harriet Mulford (Stone) Lothrop (1844-1924) wrote children's stories under the pseudonym Margaret Sidney and is most famous for the Five Little Peppers series of books and stories. Her husband Daniel Lothrop (1831-1892) started a publishing company, the D. Lothrop Co., which published her books. Harriet took over the publishing business after her husband died, causing a 5 year gap in the release of Five Little Peppers books.
