John Alexander Logan (1826-1886) was a Civil War Union General, U.S. Congressman (1859-1862, 1867-1871), and U.S. Senator (1871-1877, 1879-1886), both from Illinois, who was the vice-presidential running mate of Republican James G. Blaine in the 1884 presidential election won by Grover Cleveland.
